Pride Come Home after Successful Trip to Newark

After completing a successful three-game series against Newark and Rickey Henderson last night, the Nashua Pride return to Historic Holman Stadium for a festive Mother's Day Weekend vs. the Pennsylvania Road Warriors. All the details on all Pride games, including game stories and box scores, are online at nashuapride.com.

Tonight, Friday, May 9th, the Pride take on the Road Warriors at 7:05 PM. The evening is also the Pride's "St. Patrick's Day in May" celebration, featuring Irish step dancers and an auction of special green Pride jerseys, which the players will wear during the game. Friday night is also Weare, Concord, Bow, Contoocook and Hopkinton Town Night, with Weare Cub Scout Pack #24 presenting the colors and Weare Fire Chief Robert Richards throwing out the first pitch as part of pre-game festivities. RHP Brian Smith (1-0) is scheduled to start for Nashua against righty Adam Thomas (1-0) for the Warriors.

On Saturday, May 10th, it's Nashua vs. Pennsylvania in the second of three at 7:05 PM. The night also marks the first appearance of the year by The World Famous Monkey Boy, who is scheduled to make six trips to Holman Stadium in 2003.

Southpaw Brain Looney (1-0) will be on the hill for the Pride against Pennsylvania's Byron Batson (RHP, 0-2). Monkey Boy will be back in Nashua before the end of the month, on Friday, May 27th when Nashua takes on Camden at 7:05 PM.

Sunday, May 11th is Mother's Day, and the Pride will celebrate by taking on the Warriors at 2:05 PM. Among the celebrations planned, the first 250 moms entering the ballpark receive a Mother's Day carnation, courtesy of the Pride. The game is also a Margarita's Sunday, featuring fun and games from Margarita's Restaurant, and kids 12 and under run the bases after every Sunday Pride game all season long. On the mound for Nashua will be right-hander Archie Corbin (0-0) taking on the Road Warriors' Kevin McClain (RHP, 0-1).
