Pride announces online mascot naming contest

(NASHUA, NH, March 13, 2007) The Nashua Pride announced today that the club has launched a two-week online fan poll that will decide the name of its new mascot.

Now that local students from the Nashua school system have submitted their mascot entries, the top five names have been put online for the public to vote for. There were over one thousand total entries received from area schools. Once the winning mascot name has been declared, the Pride will unveil the new mascot at the school where the entry originated.

Which name do you prefer?

The choices: Stitches, Screwball, Buster, Slider or Change-up.

The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its tenth anniversary season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The Pride is participating in its second year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball. Only season ticket holders can guarantee seats for the club's home opener, to be held Thursday, May 24 versus the North Shore Spirit, at Historic Holman Stadium.
