American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(Nashua, NH, February 22, 2006) - Nashua Pride team officials announced today that Miles Page has been signed for this upcoming season. The Massachusetts native will be headed into his second year of professional baseball.

A two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference standout, Page batted .303 with 28 RBI and guided UMass Lowell to a 28-20 record in 2005 and its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last four years. Also a second team all-ABCA (America Baseball Coaches Association) Northeast Region pick, the catcher was among NE-10 Conference leaders in runners caught stealing (23) and put outs (263). Page played professionally in 24 games last season for the Ohio Valley Redcoats in the Frontier League.

Pride Manager Butch Hobson comments on Nashua's newest signing, "Miles is going to be a tremendous addition to the team this year. He's a gamer and a really good defensive catcher. I am excited to have another young, quality guy in the lineup and I know he is going to play well for us this season."

The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Historic Holman Stadium. Prior to joining the Can-Am League, the Pride played for eight seasons in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, winning the 2000 Atlantic League championship.
