Pennsylvania Rebellion News Release

Akron, OH-From the 12-year-old girl who was unsure of playing softball to continuing as an outstanding collegiate athlete at Temple University, Sarah Prezioso, one of the team's most talented rookies, lifted the Rebellion to a 3-2 victory over the Akron Racers Sunday at Firestone Stadium.

Prezioso paced herself at the plate going 1-3 with two RBIs on one hit, a two-run home run, for Pennsylvania. Teammate Courtney Liddle also pitched in a solid performance as she collected her third multi-hit game of the season, going 2-3.

For the second straight game, the Racers were first to strike as Akron's Jill Barrett hit an RBI double for a 1-0 Akron lead. Barrett later scored as teammate Charlotte Morgan smacked an RBI single for a 2-0 advantage.

But, a run by Pennsylvania in the fourth off a sacrifice-fly by Jenn Salling scored Angeline Quiocho and cut the home team's lead 2-1.

Two innings later, Prezioso powered her first professional home run, a two-run shot, to put the Rebellion in front 3-2 and help nail down the franchise's fourth victory.

In the circle, Rebellion pitcher Angel Bunner tossed a stellar performance as the University of Auburn graduate earned her first win for the black and gold. Bunner allowed two runs on four hits and fanned five in her six-innings of work. Rebellion pitcher Tatum Edwards earned her first professional career save, while Racers Lannah Campbell walked away with the loss.
