Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Rampage (1-7) head to Flint, Michigan to take on the Waza Flo (4-5) for the second time this season. The first match, played November 15, ended in favor of the Waza Flo as they secured a 6-5 win with twelve seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Cedar Rapids is coming off of their first win in franchise history over the St. Louis Ambush (0-7) last Saturday, December 19. Down 7-2 early in the third quarter, the Rampage rallied back and scored seven unanswered goals to record the win. Rampage forward Alex Megson was the star of last weekend's match, scoring a natural hat trick in :41 seconds. Forward, and team captain, Chile Farias and midfielder Sam Guernsey each notched a pair of goals while defenders Alex Tozer and Patrick Kelly netted one goal each. Tozer's goal was the first of his indoor soccer career. Rampage goalkeeper Joey Kapinos stopped 18 of 25 shots for a 72 percent save percentage.

Through eight games this season, the Rampage have been led in scoring by forward Elmo Neto (8 goals, 9 assists) who has recorded 17 points while forward Hewerton Moreira (five goals) leads the team in assists with 10. Megson (12 points) and Kelly (seven points) each have seven goals on the season. Nearing the halfway point of the season, Kapinos has stopped 159 of 225 shots for a 70 percent save percentage.

The Waza Flo have been led on the field by forward Leonardo de Oliveira. de Oliveira leads the team in points (six goals, nine assists) and assists. de Oliveira is also tied for first placed on the team in goals scored with midfielder Danny Dragoi and defender Thiago Goncalves. All three have six goals through nine games.

The Rampage return home Thursday, December 31 for a match against the Missouri Comets. We'll be hosting the biggest family-friendly New Year's Eve party in Cedar Rapids with inflatables, rides, and games along with $1 sodas and popcorn beginning at 11 a.m. The soccer match will begin at 2:00 p.m. with children 14 and under getting in free with a paid adult.
