LAREDO, Texas â Laredo Bucks Director of Ticket Sales Kit Preston was selected as the CHL Ticket Executive of the Year at the CHL Spring Conference Awards Banquet on Saturday night in Phoenix. The Bucks were nominated in six categories for awards. The Bucks are currently taking deposits for new season tickets. Preston previously worked in the CHL with the San Antonio Iguanas and the Lubbock Cotton Kings.
"This award is a reflection of the hard work of my sales staff," said Preston. "It was an honor just to be nominated, and I am thrilled and excited about this award. We have the best fans in the CHL, and it shows in the way they purchase tickets and support the Bucks."
The 27-year old Preston has been with the Bucks organization since the beginning.
"Kit is a veteran of the ticketing department," said Bucks CEO Kiki DeAyala. "He accepted the challenge here with the Bucks two years ago and has excelled. His positive, friendly attitude and attention to customer service has served this organization and our fans well. Kit is very deserving of the award."
Laredo was also a finalist for Merchandise Franchise of the Year, Group Ticket Sales, Ticket Sales, the CHL Leadership Award and Franchise of the Year. Bucks owner Glen Hart was a finalist for the CHL Leadership Award.
Last season the Bucks were selected as the CHL Franchise of the Year for 2003-03.
