Jackson Senators News Release
Jackson, MS - The Jackson Senators of the Central Baseball League (CBL) today announced their marketing plans for the 2005 season. The Sens will open at home with a seven-game homestand beginning on Thursday, May 5th against the Pensacola Pelicans.
Every Thursday through Sunday game will feature a different corporate sponsor that will provide complimentary general admission tickets to each nights game. Fans will be directed to various locations to pick up tickets. Every ticket will have an upgrade opportunity for a reserved seat for only $2.00.
Corporate Buyout Night themes are as follows:
Thursday: Shirt Off Our Back Night and $1.00 Beverages
Friday: Kids Night featuring kids giveaways, run the bases and special appearance
by Smiley the Clown
Saturday: Post-Game Fireworks Shows, JACK-FM & Pepsi Corporate Deck Parties with
Base Shell Game
Sunday: 150 Chocolate Sundae and 7s Rugby Matches
Opening Weekends promotional activities have been set. Leading things off on Thursday, May 5th will be Pepsi Shirt Off Our Back Night with a crawfish boil deck party. Friday nights activities include Pepsi Mini-Bats with Kids Run the Bases. On Saturday, there will be Pizza Hut Post-Game Fireworks with another crawfish boil deck party and Sunday will be LuVel Dairy 150 Chocolate Sundae followed by a post-game 7s Rugby Match.
On Thursday through Saturday of Opening Weekend, Metro Jackson Crimestoppers will also be on-hand promoting the National Child Identification Program and distributing Child I.D. Kits.
All Monday through Wednesday games will feature the Best Family Deal Ever which includes one general admission ticket, hot dog, bag of chips, soft drink and ice cream cup for $5.00 each. Fans will be able to print out their Best Family Deal Ever coupons by logging onto www.jacksonsenators.com or by visiting participating sponsor locations.
This season, Trustmark Bank will sponsor three Kids Days at Smith-Wills Stadium; Monday, May 9th will be Educational Field Trip Day where kids will receive instruction on how to tabulate batting averages and earned run average; May 11th is D.A.R.E. Day where children graduating from D.A.R.E. programs celebrate their graduation; and Tuesday, June 28th is the City of Jackson Youth Enhancement Day and local Day Care Centers Day where campers are encouraged to wear swimwear and enjoy water park activities.
Performance Sports Academys Field of Dreams parties are back again this season. Sign up your youth league team to take the field with the Senators for the singing of the National Anthem and enjoy Pizza Hut pizza in one of two private patio areas down the first or third base lines.
Birthday Party packages are also available featuring Pizza Hut pizza and LuVel Dairy ice cream.

The Jackson Senators are part of the Central Baseball League, an independent league of eight professional baseball teams located throughout four southern states. The league is preparing for its twelfth season this summer with teams located in Edinburg, El Paso, Ft. Worth, Robstown, and San Angelo, Texas; Shreveport, Louisiana; Pensacola, Florida; and Jackson, Mississippi. The CBL will play a 94-game schedule between May and August 2005.
