PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC enters its third week of preseason action with 13 players under contract and an additional number invited on trial.

PRESEASON WEEK THREE ROSTER

The Week Ahead

Riverhounds SC readies for two matches in week three, hosting the University of Charleston at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 and the University of Akron at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25. Both games will be played at Highmark Stadium and are free to attend for the public.

Posting a 21-1-2 overall record, Charleston captured the NCAA Division II Championship in 2017. Head coach Dan Stratford guides the Golden Eagles.

Akron also clinched a title in 2017, winning the Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship. Led by head coach Jared Embick, the Zips logged an 18-4-2 overall record and an NCAA College Cup Semifinals appearance.

Last Week

Pittsburgh notched its second straight shutout of the preseason, defeating St. Bonaventure University, 1-0, during the second week of play.

Goalkeepers Dan Lynd and Mike Kirk combined for the clean sheet, and Christiano François scored the only goal of the match on a penalty kick, marking the midfielder's first tally of the preseason.

With the win, the Black and Gold currently holds a 3-0 record this preseason.
