
Preliminary Team Itinerary Announced for Manchester United's 2010 North American Tour

NEW YORK (Saturday, July 10, 2010) - A preliminary team itinerary was announced today for the 2010 Manchester United North American Tour, which will include stops in Toronto, Philadelphia and Kansas City, prior to their arrival in Houston for the 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The team will also train in Chicago prior to the start of the tour.
In addition to the four match days, the tour includes training sessions, news conferences and special events as the world's most valuable sports team prepares for the 2010-2011 English Premier League season.
Manchester United's international roster of superstars - which includes legendary midfielder Ryan Giggs (Wales), English standout Paul Scholes, as well as Dimitar Berbatov (Bulgaria) and Edwin van der Sar (Holland) - will face the MLS All-Stars in the 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game at Reliant Stadium, in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday, July 28 (live on ESPN2 and TeleFutura at 8:30 p.m. ET). The game marks the last stop of the tour, which also includes matches against Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union (July 21 in Philadelphia) and Kansas City Wizards (July 25 in Kansas City), along with Scottish power Celtic FC (July 16 in Toronto).
