Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 9) -- Orlando Predators Defensive Specialist Kenny "The Glove" McEntyre will host "Golf For the Gulf," a charity golf tournament for Hurricane Katrina victims on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The four-man scramble tournament will be held at the prestigious Stoneybrook West Golf Course. Cost is $300 per four-man team or $75 for an individual golfer. Entry fee includes green and carts fee, lunch, and beverage cart. Participants will also receive a limited edition Orlando Predators football personally autographed by McEntyre, the three-time Arena Football League Defensive Player of the Year and the AFL's all-time leader in interceptions and pass defenses.

Thanks to the generosity of the host course Stoneybrook West, 100% of all tournament proceeds are being donated directly to American Red Cross Katrina Relief Fund.

In addition to the tournament, the Predators will be collecting money, clothing and non-perishable food items at the event, which will be distributed to families in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

"I am respectfully asking Predators fans and all Central Florida sports fans to consider making a contribution to our tournament," McEntyre said. "Last year, we went through an extremely difficult time with our hurricanes, but those hardships are miniscule compared to the incredible devastation suffered by the people of New Orleans, Louisiana and surrounding states."

As of Friday, less than 80 spots remained for the tournament. To register for the event, download an application at www.orlandopredators.com or you may register with a credit card by calling Orlando Predators Foundation Executive Director Sylvia Bova at 407-447-3320. Monetary donations may also be mailed. Make checks payable to the American Red Cross Katrina Relief Fund or the Orlando Predators Foundation and mail them to: Orlando Predators Foundation, c/o Sylvia Bova, 302 S. Graham Ave., Orlando, FL 32803.
