Preds make roster moves
April 12, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 12, 2006)-- With one of the biggest games of the season less than 48 hours away, the Orlando Predators had one of their biggest transaction days of the season - making six roster moves.
Among the moves made was the placing lineman Charles Hill on injured reserve and placing Cleveland Pinkney on recallable waivers. The loss of Pinkney came as a minor surprise, as the AFL rookie and former Tampa Bay Bucs lineman signed with the Detroit Lions.
In addition to those two moves, the Predators activated WR/DB Lin-J Shell,
OL/DL Doug Miller, and FB/LB Idris Price from injured reserve and signed OL/DL Delanio Taylor from the Predators' practice squad.
Miller is expected to take Pinkney's spot in the line-up on Friday against the Georgia Force; while Price most likely will dress for Hill.
Kickoff against the Georgia Force (7-4) is 7:30 p.m. at Hummer Field in the TD Waterhouse Centre. Both the Predators (7-4) and Force are tied for first place in the Southern Division of the Arena Football League and the winner will take sole possession of first place. Tickets remain available for the game by calling 407-44-PREDS.
