Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO - Orlando Predators head coach Bret Munsey will make an early return to the sideline Saturday, Feb. 4 as he'll be coaching alongside former NFL assistant coach Kurt Schottenheimer in the Players All-Star Classic in Little Rock, Ark.

Munsey will coach defensive backs for the South team. He recently teamed up with Schottenheimer and older brother, Marty, to help guide the United Football League's Virginia Destroyers to a league title in 2011.

Kurt Schottenheimer spent 22 seasons in multiple roles in the NFL, primarily serving as a defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions.

Munsey will also be working closely with former Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator John Marshall and former NFL player and assistant coach Johnny Holland.

"I feel honored to have been asked to take part in the Players All-Star Classic," said Munsey, who won an ArenaBowl with Philadelphia in 2008. "It's a great opportunity to work with colleagues in the outdoor game and it should only benefit our organization as far as discovering potential players who may be a good fit for the AFL."

The Players All-Star Classic (www.playersallstarclassic.com) is a new college all-star game being played at War Memorial Stadium at 4 p.m. Rosters are made up of players from all levels of college football who are rated as prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft.

The Arena Football League season opens its 25th season in Orlando on Friday, March 9 as the Predators host the Pittsburgh Power on NFL Network.
