
Predators Assigned Former Dolphins, Cardinals WR Michael Rios

ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Predators have been assigned WR Michael Rios, the franchise announced today. Rios enters his rookie season in the Arena Football League following NFL stints with the Arizona Cardinals and the Miami Dolphins.
Rios (6-2, 210, Marist) set a school record with 17 touchdowns receptions during his career at Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY). As a senior in 2012, he earned First-Team All-Pioneer Football League accolades after setting single-season school records for receiving yards (1,173) and receiving touchdowns (10). Rios also set a single-game record after compiling 244 receiving yards in a victory over Davidson.
Following his collegiate career, Rios signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent, becoming the first player in the history of the Marist football program to sign a contract with an NFL team. He signed with the Miami Dolphins during the 2014 NFL offseason before joining the Predators.
A native of South Florida, Rios was born in Miami and attended Belen Jesuit High School.
The Orlando Predators return to action on Monday, July 7th on the road against the Philadelphia Soul. The matchup will be nationally broadcast live on ESPN2 with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST.
