Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO - The Orlando Predators will hold open tryouts for the 2015 season on Saturday, November 15th at 9:00 a.m. at Faith Christian Academy, home of the East Orlando Junior Predators. Faith Christian Academy is located at 9307 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL 32825. Predators Head Coach Rob Keefe and General Manager of Football Operations Michael DiJulio will be on hand to evaluate players in attendance.

"Open tryouts play an integral role in the construction our roster. We take the process very seriously," said Head Coach Rob Keefe. "Throughout the years, open tryouts have given us the opportunity to find players who made significant contributions to our team. If you think you have what it takes to play professional football, I would encourage you to come out and show us what you can do."

All participants can pre-register at a discount using a credit card by calling 844-455-PRED or 407-355-2200. No prior football experience is required. The cost of the tryout is $60 for those who pre-register and $75 at the door on the day of the tryout by cash, credit card, or money order only. Personal checks will not be accepted. All fees are non-refundable. On the day of the tryout, registration will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash, broad jump and short shuttle, with position-specific drills to follow. Players must be prepared upon arrival with appropriate workout gear and shoes/cleats. Testing will take place on field turf - no metal cleats are permitted. The tryout is non-contact. Pads and helmets are not necessary.

The Orlando Predators signed wide receiver Gerald Young after seeing him in action at last year's open tryout. Young went on to earn a starting role and registered 24 receptions for 355 yards and six touchdowns while serving as the team's primary return specialist. He racked up 739 yards on 38 kickoff returns and even made the ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 after returning a missed field goal 49 yards for a game-winning touchdown against the Jacksonville Sharks.

The tryout is completely open to the public. Fans are encouraged to attend.
