Power Fall to SkyHawks in Preseason Opener

(Mississauga, ON - ) The Mississauga Power hosted the Ottawa SkyHawks in the first game of preseason action at the Hershey Centre. Season ticket holders were acquainted with city's newest professional basketball team during a pre-game meet and greet.

Fueled by the crowd and a new arena, the team got off to a hot start, building a 15 point lead against the SkyHawks. The Power's run was capped off by a huge dunk by Morgan Lewis before Ottawa began rallying for a come back. Kirk Williams and Bo Harris both had great games with 20 and 15 points, respectively. Ottawa was led by Mike Rose who scored 22 points and Ryan Anderson who contributed with 16 points. The SkyHawks defeated the Power 115-107. "We had a great first half but we definitely have a few things we need to work with," stated Head Coach, Fred Grannum. He continued, "We need to work on rebounding and boxing out. It is our first preseason game and we will definitely get better moving forward."
