
Power Come up Short against SkyHawks

(Ottawa, ON - ) The Mississauga Power finished a 3 game road trip in Ottawa this afternoon. The Power could not hold on to a 21 point lead as they lost 102-106. Morgan Lewis led the Power with 24 points and 10 rebounds while Kirk Williams Jr. and Jaushay Rockett added 17 apiece. Mike Rose led the home squad with 24 points.
The teams played very evenly in the first quarter, with neither team taking a lead larger than six. The Power played strong defense in the second quarter, holding the SkyHawks to just 12 points ijnthe second quarter while managing to score 22 of their own. The Power took a 50-42 lead into halftime.
In the third, the SkyHawks closed the gap on the Power behind seven straight points from Ryan Anderson. The Power lead was cut to four heading into the final quarter. A late 18-4 run by the SkyHawks would put the game out of reach for the Power, as they fell to 9-28 for the season.
The Power will play next at the Hershey Centre on February 20th against the Windsor Express.
