Postseason awards keep on coming for Turfcats

KINDER, La. - The Southern Indoor Football League announced their post season awards today during their 2009 Summer Conference at the Coushatta Casino Resort, and the Austin Turfcats walked away with many of them.
The Turfcats received awards for Best Website, Best Media Relations Department and Best News Coverage. The Lady Cats, led by Michelle Guidry, were named Best Cheerleader/Dance Team in their inaugural season.
Kasey Johns, Turfcats' Director of Creative Services, picked up an honor as he was named to the All-SIFL Front Office team for his work on both the Turfcats and SIFL websites, technology, and marketing and promotion efforts.
Ronald Oswalt, Turfcats Vice-President/General Manager, accepted All-SIFL team awards for J. R. Turner, Avery Cleveland, Barrett Dallmeyer, Kevin Earvine, John Cardenas, Keith Clay, and Darrick Wallace. Wallace also received the 2009 SIFL special teams' player of the year award.
Thom Hager, SIFL President, added, "Austin has a first class team and organization from top to bottom and there is no bottom. It is no wonder Austin took home so many postseason awards."
