TEAM NOTABLES

On Sunday, the New York Liberty (8-12) fell to the Los Angeles Sparks (9-11), 84-74, in the first game of their 2022 three-game season series.

At Crypto.com Arena, the Liberty finished on 39.7% (27-68) shooting from the field, 36.4% (12-33) from three, and 66.7% (8-12) at the free throw line.

PLAYER NOTABLES

Four Liberty players scored in double figures in tonight's game (Johannès, Howard, Ionescu, Han).

Highlighted by her nine-point first half that included a perfect 100% (3-3) shooting from deep, Marine Johannès totaled a team-high 17 points on 45.5% (5-11) shooting from field, including 55.6% (5-9) from beyond the arc, four assists, four rebounds, two steals, and a block.

Sabrina Ionescu finished with 14 points, a team-high nine rebounds, a team-high eight assists, and a block. Today's performance marked her tenth straight game this season of at least ten points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Natasha Howard added 13 points, four assists, four rebounds, and three steals.

Han Xu finished with 10 points on 50% (4-8) shooting from the floor, including 50% (1-2) from deep, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal - her tenth double-digit scoring game of the season.

For Los Angeles, Nneka Ogwumike finished with a game-high 22 points, including 10 points in the third quarter, while Chiney Ogwumike totaled 12 points and 10 rebounds off of the bench.
