
Ports to Support Goodwill Week

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports, reigning champions of the California League, are happy to announce that they will be supporting Goodwill Week this May, in addition to their other community events that month.
From Friday, May 1 to Friday, May 8, fans who donate clothing and electronics to one of the 10 Goodwill donation locations in San Joaquin County will receive a voucher for a discounted ticket to the Ports game on Saturday, May 9. On May 9, the Ports will be taking on the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at 7:05 p.m. and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Ports cap, sponsored by the California Highway Patrol.
The voucher for the May 9 event can be redeemed no later than 5 p.m. on May 8, by calling Heather Brooke at (209) 644-1927. Vouchers will not be redeemed at the box office.
"The Ports are committed to having an enduring presence in Stockton and San Joaquin County, and doing our utmost to assisting the community and enhancing lives through baseball," said Ports President and General Manager Pat Filippone. "We are pleased to work with Goodwill this season and hope that many Ports fans will help their community by donating to Goodwill in May."
Goodwill Industries is a not-for-profit agency that provides job training and placement services to assist people with employment barriers to become self-sufficient. Goodwill Industries funds its job training services by selling donated items in Goodwill retail locations.
