Ports Announce 2012 Schedule

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports, 11-time champions of the California League, are excited to unveil their 2012 regular season schedule. All baseball fans are invited to follow the Ports next season, as the organization will embark on its 63nd season of professional baseball and their eighth season at Banner Island Ballpark.

The Ports will begin the season on the road in 2012. Thursday, April 5 will be Opening Day for the California League, and the Ports will be kicking off the season in Lake Elsinore that day. The Ports will open the season at home on Thursday, April 12 against Modesto.

The Ports will be home on July 3, and will take on the San Jose Giants for their Independence Day Celebration at Banner Island Ballpark. The Ports will close the season at home on Labor Day, September 3, against Visalia.

"The entire Ports organization looks forward to another exciting season of baseball in 2012, and are excited to share the upcoming schedule with all of our fans," said Ports President and General Manager Pat Filippone. "It has been a memorable 2011 season, and we look forward to creating many more exciting memories with great baseball and more fun, affordable family entertainment for our fans in 2012."

The Ports will have 11 home games in April, 12 home dates in May, 15 games at home in June, 13 games at home in July, 16 home games in August and three home game in September. Among the home dates are 31 weekend games, and 39 weekday games. Game times for the 2012 season will be released in December, following the Baseball Winter Meetings.

Ports fans will be excited to see that several great rivalry match-ups are scheduled to be hosted at Banner Island Ballpark in 2012. Fans can catch their favorite Oakland A's affiliate take on their archrival, the San Jose Giants, at home from May 20-22, June 2-4, July 1-3, August 7-9, and August 17-19. Fans can cheer on the Ports as the club competes against neighboring Modesto at Banner Island Ballpark from April 12-15, May 10-12, August 10-12, and August 20-23.

Season ticket holders can enjoy several great benefits, including discounted ticket pricing, designated seating, a flexible ticket exchange policy, the first right to purchase playoff and special events tickets, and invitations to exclusive season ticket holder events and parties.

The Ports ticket office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the off-season.
