THIS WEEK
The Pirates record stands at 31-29-4-5 as they enter this week's games. The Pirates are just seven points behind Providence for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division with 11 games remaining in the regular season.

This season, six of the seven meetings between the two teams have needed at least overtime to decide a winner.

Trent Whitfield has seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) against the Lock Monsters this season.

Brooks Laich has three goals and two assists against the Wolf Pack this season including the game-winner back on March 13th in Portland. Sunday, April 3rd vs. SPRINGFIELD 4:05 p.m.
Boyd Gordon has six points (1 goal, 5 assists) against the Falcons this season.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
Friday, April 1st vs. Lowell 7:05 - Starting on Friday, local artist and avid hockey fan Greg Sturniolo will display his unique series of five original works of art depicting the sport of hockey at the Cumberland County Civic Center during the Pirates game. The original art and prints will be available for purchase and a percentage of the proceeds from the opening will be donated to the Portland Pirates Foundation.
Sunday, April 3rd vs. Springfield 4:05 p.m. - Salty Pete's "Skate for the Kids" fundraiser to raise funds for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. "Skate for the Kids" will be a five hour ice skating event. Players and coaches from the Portland Pirates will participate in the event with 30-minute shifts during the day from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and for one hour following the Pirates 4:05 p.m. game. In addition to skating, there will be music, refreshments, snacks, prizes, contests and a whole lot of fun, all to raise awareness and funds to support the great work being done for kids at The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center.
Friday, April 8th vs. Manchester 7:05 p.m. - $10,000 Dash for Cash Night sponsored by 102.9FM WBLM and The Portland Regional Chamber.
Friday, April 15, 2005 vs. Springfield 7:05 p.m. - Fan Appreciation Night presented by WJBQ 97.9 FM. Don't miss the last home game of the regular season as the Pirates thank the fans for their support. At this game, the winners will be chosen for "Shirts off Their Backs" as each player will give his game-worn jersey away to a lucky fan in attendance. The night will also feature the 2004-05 Player Awards.

Last chance to name the ship! The Pirates want your help to name the new exhibit at the Children's Museum of Maine. Families and kids can submit suggestions online at www.portlandpirates.com, as well as at the Children's Museum and their website www.kitetails.com. Each person who submits an entry, will receive two free tickets to an upcoming Pirates home game and be entered to win the grand prize- a 2004-05 team autographed Pirates jersey and take part in the christening ceremony on April 22, 2005. Entries are limited to one per person and the contest concludes on March 31, 2005.

The Portland Pirates Foundation have announced the creation of Salty Pete's "Skate for the Kids" fundraiser, which will be held on April 3, 2005 at the Cumberland County Civic Center, to raise funds for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center.
Today, Pirates defenseman Nolan Yonkman and broadcaster Greg Glynn joined Dave Winsor on "The Wolf" morning show to talk about the upcoming Salty Pete's "Skate for the Kids" to raise money for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center.
Tomorrow, catch the Pirates Head Coach Tim Army on WJAB at 8:00 a.m. on the "The Morning Jab" on WJAB 95.5FM and 1440AM.
Louis Robitaille will be on WBLM 102.9FM this Friday at 8:00 a.m. with the Captain and Mark.
Listen every weekday at 7:20 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. for the "Voice of the Pirates" Greg Glynn with your Portland Pirates daily report on WJAB 95.5FM and 1440AM.
On Wednesday, April 13th, Pirates players will be at the Hannaford Supermarket in West Falmouth from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The players will sign autographs and give away tickets every ten minutes.
LAST WEEK
On Saturday, the Pirates honored their 8th inductee, Ryan Mulhern into the Portland Pirates Hall of Fame presented by Bank of America.
The Pirates went 1-1-1-0 last week and are now just seven points behind the Providence Bruins in the Atlantic Division playoff race.

Owen Fussey scored the game-winning goal to give the Pirates the 3-2 win over the Bears.

Kirk Daubenspeck made 28 saves.
Saturday, March 26th vs. Manchester (2-1 OTL)
Brian Sutherby scored the Pirates lone goal in the overtime loss to the Monarchs.
