Portland Pirates Release 2015 Training Camp Schedule

Portland, ME - The Portland Pirates, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Florida Panthers, announced the official schedule for its 2015 Training Camp today.

For the third straight year, the Pirates Training Camp will take place at the team's high performance training center, the OA Sports Center in Saco.

Players will report to Portland on Sunday, September 27 and will go through medical and fitness testing on Monday, September 28. The team's first practice session will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29.

The Pirates will play two preseason games as part of their training camp. They will take on the Providence Bruins on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts at 7:05 p.m., then face the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds the following evening at 7:00 p.m. at the OA Sports Center.

The team and coaching staff will also participate in the Second Annual Portland Pirates Charity Golf Tee Off on Monday, October 5 at Spring Meadows Golf Club, located at 59 Lewiston Road in Gray. Spots for the tournament, which benefits Camp Sunshine, are still available, and sign-up information can be found at portlandpirates.com or by calling 207-PIRATES. Each threesome will play 18 holes with a Portland Pirates player or coach. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.

The official training camp roster will be released this weekend. All skating sessions will be open to the public and all dates and times are subject to change.
