IceHogs Announce 2015 Training Camp Schedule and Roster

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced the 2015 training camp schedule and roster for the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. The IceHogs 17th overall season of professional hockey in Rockford, and ninth in the AHL as the top affiliate of the Blackhawks, gets underway on Sunday, Sept. 27 at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

Rockford's training camp in preparation of the season opener on Friday, Oct. 9 against the San Jose Barracuda will conclude on Oct. 5. All IceHogs training camp practices will take place at the BMO Harris Bank Center and will not be open to the public.

The camp invitees include four forwards, four defensemen, and one goalie. The forwards are Josh Brittain, Peter Schneider, Kyle Stroh, and Casey Thrush. The four defensemen are Patrick Koudys, Ben Marshall, Josh McFadden, and Kevin Quick. The goalie is Shane Owen, who is under contract with Rockford's ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel.

There are also four players under AHL contracts with Rockford for the 2015-16 season including forwards Pierre-Cedric Labrie and Dane Walters, defenseman Kirill Gotovets, and goalie Mac Carruth.

The IceHogs training camp slate features two preseason contests. Rockford hosts the Chicago Wolves on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7 p.m. and travels to Milwaukee on Friday, Oct. 2 to take on the Admirals at the Kern Center on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering at 7 p.m.
