PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Pickles and AM 860 The Answer: The New KPAM have agreed to a radio broadcasting partnership for the 2018 season, it was announced Thursday.
Pickles games will be broadcast on KPAM beginning with the season-opener Friday, June 1st, against Port Angeles. Fans in the greater Portland area can tune in on 860-AM or via the online stream at TheAnswerPortland.com.
"We are very excited to partner with such a recognizable and powerful brand as KPAM," said Pickles co-owner, Bill Stewart. "They are the perfect home for baseball on the radio in Portland."
Chris Kelly, Operations Director of Salem Media Group, Portland, said "AM 860 The Answer is proud to join with the Pickles as their media partner this year. There is nothing better than taking in a baseball game at Walker Stadium in Lents Park on a great Portland night or being able to listen to the excitement. The Portland Pickles are a collegiate wood-bat team entering its first season in the West Coast League. Home games are played at Walker Stadium in Lents Park on the corner of SE Holgate Boulevard and SE 92nd Avenue.
