Playoff tickets on sale

Alpena MI: The Alpena IceDiggers announced dates have been set for the first round of the NAHL playoff's. Alpena holds the second seed in the North division standing with a record of 36-20-5 with one game remaining in the regular season.

The IceDiggers will host the USA U-17 in games one and two at Northern Lights Arena and in game five if it is necessary. Game three and if a fourth game is necessary will be held in Ann Arbor at the AA Ice Cube home of the USANTDP.

The playoffs will begin with game one on Saturday April 7th at 7:00PM. Game two will be held on Easter Sunday April 8th with a special 6:00PM start. Game three in Ann Arbor is scheduled for Thursday April 12th at 7:00PM. If their is a game four it will also be in Ann Arbor on Friday April 13th at 7:00PM. And if a game five is necessary it will be back in Alpena on Saturday April 14th face off for that game will be at 7:00PM.

The IceDiggers will play in the postseason for the first since joining the NAHL four seasons ago and are excited about hosting games one and two. "The guys worked hard all year to get home ice in the first round." said second year head coach Kenny Miller "We are looking forward to playing in front of our fans and having their support throughout the playoffs."

Playoff ticket packages are on sale for season ticket holders and remaining tickets go on sale to the public Tuesday April 3rd. The organization is expecting big crowds for the playoffs so they are encouraging fans to buy tickets in advance. Adult season ticket holders can purchase the entire package for $54.00, Seniors and Students prices are $42.00 for the entire playoffs. The general public can purchase packages for $60.00 for adults and Students and Seniors $48.00.

In the other North division semi final first place Mahoning Valley will take on the Marquette Rangers in a best of five series.
