Playoff Picture Still Blurry Heading into Final Weekend

Although three of the four North Division playoff spots have been clinched, the only thing we know heading into the final weekend of the regular season is that the Janesville Jets will be the #1 seed. Soo and Keystone have both guaranteed themselves spots in the postseason and last weekend's results determined that they will be playing each other in round one, but both teams still have a shot at the #2 seed, as just a single point separates the Ice Miners and Eagles. Johnstown enters Friday's game #59 still without a postseason berth locked up. The Tomahawks have a three point edge on the Michigan Warriors, but with the Warriors having won 6 of their last 7 games, and the Tomahawks possessing only 3 wins in 10 tries against Keystone this season, a playoff spot is anything but a certainty. Listed below are the results that would bring upon each possible North Division playoff scenario when the dest settles late Saturday night:

KEYSTONE GETS THE #2 SEED/SOO GETS THE #3 SEED IF:

-Keystone sweeps Johnstown AND Michigan wins one or both games against Soo

-Keystone wins one game against Johnstown AND Michigan sweeps Soo

-Keystone gains one point each night (OT/SO loss) AND Michigan sweeps Soo

SOO GETS THE #2 SEED/KEYSTONE GETS THE #3 SEED IF:

-Soo sweeps Michigan

-Johnstown sweeps Keystone in regulation or takes three points from them

-Keystone loses one game against Johnstown AND Soo wins one game against Michigan

-Soo gains one point against Michigan AND Keystone gains one point each night against Johnstown

-Soo gains one point against Michigan AND Keystone loses one game in regulation to Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN GETS THE #4 SEED/MICHIGAN IS ELIMINATED IF:

-Johnstown wins one game against Keystone

-Michigan loses one game in regulation against Soo

-Johnstown gains one point (OT/SO loss) each night against Keystone

-Michigan loses in OT/SO each night against Soo

-Johnstown gains one point (OT/SO loss) against Keystone AND Michigan loses in OT/SO against Soo

MICHIGAN GETS THE #4 SEED/JOHNSTOWN IS ELIMINATED IF:

-Johnstown loses both games against Keystone in regulation AND Michigan wins both games against Soo

-Johnstown gains one point (OT/SO loss) against Keystone AND Michigan wins both games against Soo

First tie-breaker: Wins (if points are tied)
