
Play-Off Bound Lightning Continue to Roll

On the heels of clinching the first birth in the National Basketball League of Canada, the London Lightning emphatically stamped their presence in front of 2664 fans a the John Labatt Centre. They defeated the Saint John Mill Rats 125-99.
Saint John trailed by 5 after one quarter, but a huge 2nd quarter propelled the Lightning to a 60-37 half time lead. Gabe Freeman's afternoon of work was done in the 3rd quarter after grabbing his 10th rebound, for the Lightning, and finishing with 29 points.
"Our team came out with a plan tonight," explained Lightning leading scorer, Gabe Freeman. "We came out to play hard. We were able to play team basket- ball, each player on our team scored, and we are unbeatable when our entire team contributes."
The Lightning's next match up will take place at home this Thursday, February 2nd against Summerside. Tip off at 7pm.
