
Pittsfield Suns Make the Most of 12 Hits in 10-6

The Pittsfield Suns (10-9) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (6-13) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Pittsfield Suns that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 10-6 win at Doyle Field.
The Pittsfield Suns were led by a flawless day at the dish by Josh Hassell, who went 3-3 against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' pitching. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.
Jon Kristoffersen got on base five times in the game for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Connor Johnson recorded his second win of the year for the Pittsfield Suns. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered four hits.
Thomas Mahoney ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out three.
