
Pittsburgh's Morelli Voted Week 7 National Guard MVP

TULSA, Okla. - Pittsburgh Power QB ANTHONY MORELLI has been named the National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 7 of the 2011 AFL season, as voted on by fans.
Morelli came away with 50 percent of the vote on Facebook.com after completing 23-of-35 passes for 232 yards and six touchdowns. Morelli also scored a touchdown on the ground in the 56-49 road win over the New Orleans VooDoo. Week 7 was Morelli's second start as Pittsburgh's quarterback after previous starting quarterbacks' Kevin McCabe and Bernard Morris sustained injuries.
The Power (3-3) take on the Georgia Force (4-2) on Saturday, April 30 at 7:35 p.m. EST.
Other candidates for the award included Arizona QB Nick Davila and Tulsa QB Matt Bassuener.
