Pittsburgh Power and the AFL Release 2011 Schedule

Pittsburgh, PA - (October 27, 2010) The Pittsburgh Power and the Arena Football League today announced the 2011 regular season schedule. The schedule opens with a Friday night matchup with the Philadelphia Soul on March 11th . The schedule features home and away games against divisional foes Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Cleveland, and a home matchup with the defending Arena Bowl Champions, the Spokane Shock on May 7th.

"I think it is fitting to open our inaugural season against our in-state rival the Soul," remarked Owner and General Manager Matt Shaner. "While the schedule is not without it's challenges, it is great that the fans here in Pittsburgh will be able to share the opening of the season with us."

Co-owner Lynn Swann spoke about those challenges, "Closing the season on the road at divisional rivals in Cleveland and Philadelphia will certainly test this team's mettle as they seek a playoff berth."
