Pitchers Davis and Lavergne traded to Northern League

(NASHUA, NH, November 14, 2006) Nashua Pride officials announced today that pitchers Vincent Davis and Jarrad Lavergne were traded to the Schaumburg Flyers for pitcher Nate Cotton.

Cotton finished second in the Northern League with 17 saves for the 2006 season. The right-handed closer posted a 1-1 record with a 0.67 earned run average after pitching in 25 games for the Flyers. The Birmingham, AL native struck out 32 batters in 26.2 innings of work last year. In a seven-year minor league career, the 27-year-old has a 2.94 ERA and 108 saves in 219 games played.

Davis finished the 2006 season with a 4-5 record in a Pride uniform. In 67.1 IP, the left-hander had 36 strikeouts and a 4.28 ERA in 23 games played for Nashua this past season.

Lavergne came to the Pride in mid-July and finished 2-6 in 44 innings pitched. In 10 games pitched with Nashua last season, the Lafayette, LA native struck out 30 batters with a 4.91 ERA.

The Nashua Pride, entering its tenth anniversary season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment.
