Pit Bull named official energy drink of the ABA
Published on September 8, 2004 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA Co-Founder, today announced that Pit Bull, the best tasting choice in the energy drink segment, has become the Official Energy Drink of the ABA. According to Newman, "We are extremely pleased about having Pit Bull as a partner. This is a terrific company run by fabulous people; they have a genuine love of sports and entertainment and the products they produce are truly on the cutting edge of new age beverages and nutritional bars. Like the ABA, Hip Hop Beverages Corporation, the makers of Pit Bull, is growing at a record-setting pace and we are looking forward to a great relationship."
James Robinson, Hip Hop CEO/President, added, "We have been watching the ABA with great interest. We are very enthusiastic about our partnership with the league. Our goal is to make Pit Bull available at all of the games so that ABA fans can experience "an attitude in a can, a bite in every swallow."
Ricardo Ricardson, ABA EVP stated, "In addition, all of the ABA teams' support personnel will be known as the Pit Crew - the ball boys, scorekeepers, PA announcers, stat crew, etc - and will wear colorful Pit Crew shirts for easy identification, sort of like NASCAR - and of course, sponsored by Pit Bull. It should be a fun season."
