Brown, a 6-foot-4, 215 pound defenseman from London, Ontario, was on Portland's opening day roster this season. The 21 year-old rookie was reassigned to Manchester on October 21.

Turgeon, a 6-foot-4, 228 pound left wing from Grand Forks, North Dakota, also participated in both Pirates preseason games this year as a training camp invitee.
He has played eight games with Manchester this season, scoring one goal and one point. The goal, scored on November 24 against the Atlanta Gladiators, was the first of Turgeon's professional career.

Prior to turning pro, Turgeon played three seasons of NCAA Division I Men's Hockey for the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks.
