Portland Pirates News Release

PORTLAND, ME - Robin Lehner turned aside all 36 shots he faced for his first playoff shutout to lead the Binghamton Senators to a 3-0 win in Game 6 of the Atlantic Division Finals and eliminate the Portland Pirates from playoff contention.

The Senators won the best-of-seven series 4-2.

Jim O'Brien, Zack Smith and Kaspars Daugavins supplied the offense for the Senators.

O'Brien opened the scoring only 25 seconds into the game on a goal that turned out to be the game winner and the only goal of the first. Smith struck on the power play in the second to make it 2-0 Binghamton and Daugavins scored into the empty net late in the third to complete the scoring.

The Pirates out shot the Senators 36-34 in the game as Jhonas Enroth took the loss.

The Allied Home Mortgage Three Stars of the game were all from the Senators. Lehner was the first, O'Brien the second and Smith the third.
