Pioneers Visit Childrens Hospital

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Members of the 2007 American Conference Champion Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers will pay a visit to some special fans at the Shriners Hospital for Children on Friday, August 24 from 10:00-11:00 a.m CST.

The Shriners Hospital for Children, located at 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA, 71103, is the world's first Shriners hospital, opening on September 16, 1922. The purpose of all Shriners Hospitals is to provide care to children with orthopaedic problems and burn injuries to help them lead fuller, more productive lives. By promoting the importance of the family and helping it become a stronger support system for the child, Shriners Hospitals can accomplish its purpose more effectively. Shriners Hospitals are open to all children without regard to financial ability or relationship to a Shriner. There is never a charge to the patient or parents for any medical care or services provided at a Shriners Hospital.

The visit will allow the Pioneers to bring joy to the lives of the children and families who are currently confined to the Shriners Hospital.

This Saturday, August 25, the American Conference Champion Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers tackle the National Conference Champion Tulsa Talons in ArenaCup8 at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, La. The game kicks off at approximately
