
Pioneers Schedule First Open Tryout for the 2008 Season

(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers just completed their best season in franchise history by being crowned the 2007 American Conference Champions. Several players will be moving up to the AFL due to their exceptional play this previous season and head coach Rich Ingold wants to fill their positions with talented athletes. The team is excited to announce that they will be holding their first open tryout for the upcoming 2008 season on Sunday, October 21, 2007.
The tryout will take place at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Registration will begin promptly at 10:00a.m. and a registration fee of $50 cash is required upon arrival. Coach Ingold will be testing athletes on the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, and individual and group drills. Coach recommends that all participants come prepared in proper attire including field turf spikes and shorts.
