Pioneers Hire Natalie Scarantino, Director of Media & Community Relations

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce the addition of Ms. Natalie Scarantino to their front office staff, where she will assume the title and responsibilities of Director of Media and Community Relations.
Scarantino, a Pittston native, gradated from Wilkes University in 2003 with her B.A. in Communications. She most recently served as the Public Relations Coordinator with the Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18. In addition, she is the On-Field Personality for the Pioneers during the 2004 and 2005 seasons, as well as the Spokes Model for United Beverage.
"I'm thrilled to have the chance to expand my role within the organization as a full-time staff member," said Scarantino
"I'd like to thank Mr. Berryman for offering me this opportunity, and I believe my past experience with the team and in the community will enable this to be a seamless transition," she added.
Prior to her work with the Pioneers and the LIU, she performed an internship at WBRE News Station in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where she performed various duties in the newsroom.
"The Pioneers are very fortunate to have an individual such as Natalie working for our organization," said Dave Berryman, President/GM of the Pioneers. "She is a recognizable name in the community and we are looking forward to having her promote the Pioneers and working with our local media."
