Pink in the Rink, Children's Discovery Museum Night Highlight Promo Schedule

Bloomington, IL - 2014-15 offered a wide array of promotions and opportunities for Bloomington Thunder fans to attend the high-end product the United States Hockey League has to offer. The Thunder's sophomore season is already featured to have that and more.

Thursday afternoon the Thunder unveiled the preliminary 2015-16 promotional schedule with specific games highlighted throughout the year. The schedule can be viewed here.

In addition to the promotional schedule, the Thunder will have food specials for each day of the week all season long. All 13 Friday game will feature a $1 beer special at the Coliseum from 6-7 p.m. At the 13 Saturday home games, the Thunder will have a buy one, get one free offer on all hot dogs purchased from 6-7 p.m. Kids 12 and under will also receive a coupon when they enter the Coliseum for a free hot dog good for the entire game.

The Thunder will play four games on Sunday's and Monday's this season and are offering $3 kid's meals for the entirety those games. The kid's meal includes a hot dog, soda, and choice of chips or popcorn.

Friday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. - Home Opener & T-Shirt Giveaway Night

The Thunder will open the season at home against the Waterloo Black Hawks with a bang. Every fan in attendance will receive a limited edition 2015-16 Home Opener t-shirt. Bloomington will be reintroduced to the Thunder as they return following a successful inaugural season. New and familiar faces will take the ice at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum including future college hockey stars and some potential NHLers.

Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. - Pink in the Rink*

Once again the Thunder will be partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the second annual Pink in the Rink game. The team will don specialty jerseys for the game to be auctioned off immediately following the game. Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will be donated to the cause as the Thunder look to top their donation total from 2014.

Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. - Children's Discovery Museum Night*

Presented by Sherman's, the Children's Discovery Museum Night will feature a specialty jersey and post-game auction. Call the Thunder office at (309) 434-2980 for discounted tickets by mentioning the Children's Discovery Museum. $2 of every ticket purchased in the CDM section will be donated back by the Thunder to the CDM.

Saturday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. - Guns & Hoses Night*

The second annual Guns & Hoses Night will once again feature a specialty jersey night and auction. The game will honor all local police officers and firefighters of Bloomington/Normal including special ticket offers for those individuals. Proceeds will go to a charity to be determined at a later date.

Also featured on the schedule are three separate afternoon games with specials associated to each promotional date. On Halloween children and families are invited to attend the game and trick or treat with the Thunder before heading out for the evening. All kids in costume get into the game for free, with the purchase of an adult ticket, and will be able to trick or treat around the Coliseum.

SEPT. 25, 7 p.m. - Home Opener: Join the Thunder as they kick off their 2015-16 season against the Waterloo Black Hawks. Join the party early with festivities outside the Coliseum and on the concourse from 6-7 p.m. Beer and soda will also be on sale for $1 during that time.
