Phoenix FC Announces 2014 Tryouts to be Hosted at Pioneer Park

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Phoenix FC will kick off its second season in USL PRO with open tryout, scheduled for Feb. 8 and 9 at Pioneer Park in Peoria, Ariz. Through these tryouts, Phoenix FC hopes to recruit talent to assist the team in competing for its first playoff spot in franchise history.
Tryouts will take place over the two-day period starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. Phoenix FC Head Coach David Robertson will oversee the tryouts along with his technical staff.
"We're excited to host tryouts for our second season," Robertson said. "I look forward to seeing the undiscovered talent and hopefully give opportunities to fulfill some dreams of becoming a professional soccer player."
The weekend will include fitness tests, drills, and 11v11 scrimmages in order to let aspiring players showcase their skills and talent. Players who stand out over the weekend will be invited back by Robertson to participate in Phoenix FC's preseason and possibly earn a spot on the first team.
