Lancers Set To Welcome Syracuse

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers (3-9) will return home to face the Syracuse Silver Knights (7-3) at the War Memorial at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday, January 17 at 7:00 p.m.

Syracuse enters the match having lost two out of three after beginning the season 6-1 and reside in third place, a game and a half behind first place Milwaukee. Leading the way for Syracuse offensively is Kenardo Forbes who ranks second overall in league scoring with 40 points. Also in the top ten is Machel Millwood who came over from Baltimore during the offseason. Millwood's 28 points places him fifth in the league along with Milwaukee's Ian Bennett.

Rochester's top scorer is third year midfielder Gary Boughton whose 26 points is good for seventh overall among league point getters. Rochester's Elliott Fauske is the top scoring defender in the MISL with 22 points.

Friday marks the fourth time this season that the Lancers have collided with the Knights. Syracuse has managed to post a win in the three previous starts this season and has not lost to Rochester in their last nine matches dating back to January 2012.

Following Saturday's match, the Lancers will take to the road next weekend for a pair of back-to-back games. The first will come against the Pennsylvania Roar on Friday night before taking on the Baltimore Blast on Saturday night. All matches can be heard live on the Lancers flagship station Fickle 93.3 FM with veteran broadcaster Joe Giuliano once again calling all of the action.  In addition all MISL matches can be seen live via webcast at www.youtube.com/MISLindoorsoccer.

Cellino & Barnes will donate $888 for every goal that Lancers #8 Elliot Fauske scores at home this year and Dunkin Donuts will donate a pound of coffee to Foodlink for every Lancers goal this season.
