
Phillip Danault receives Guy-Carbonneau trophy

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday March 28th 2011 - Victoriaville Tigres centre Phillip Danault, received this evening the Guy-Carbonneau trophy during a pre-game ceremony at the Desjardins Coliseum. Danault had a great season playing 64 games, with 23 goals and 44 assists. In all, he accumulated 67 points with a +/- of +17. The Guy-Carbonneau trophy has been awarded every year since 2005 to the best defensive forward in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Daniel Mercier, president of the Caisse Desjardins des Bois-Francs awarded the coveted trophy to Phillip Danault, a Victoriaville native. Former Tigres players Emmanuel Boudreau (2009-10), Maxime Robichaud (2006-10) and Guillaume Fournier (2001-04) as well as Tigres' marketing director Yves Bonneau were also present.
