Philadelphia Wings News Release

The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) have agreed to contract terms with transition player Kyle Hartzell for the 2013 season. Hartzell was acquired from the Washington Stealth in an off season trade that sent the Wings' third round selection in the 2012 Entry Draft (#23) and its fifth round selection in the 2013 Entry Draft to the Stealth.

Hartzell is a four-year NLL veteran who tallied four assists and 41 loose balls in 13 games last season. The American-born player was also an integral part of the 2010 Washington Stealth championship-winning team. Hartzell won a bronze medal as a member of Team USA at the 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Baltimore, MD, native made history June 30, 2012, at halftime of the MLL All-Star game winning his second consecutive "Fastest Shot" competition and tied a world record in the process with a shot of 111 miles per hour. Hartzell won a bronze medal as a member of Team USA at the 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Wings will open the 2013 season at home against the Buffalo Bandits at Wells Fargo Center on Friday, January 11 at 7 p.m. Tickets for all Wings 2013 home games are available by phone at 215-389-WING or online at WingsLAX.com.
