Philadelphia Wings News Release
Philadelphia Wings Captain Brodie Merrill will become the first NLL player to host a Google+ Hangout video chat live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto when the Buffalo Bandits and Toronto Rock play on Thursday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m.
The live Hangout will feature two interactive sessions with Merrill, one 10-minute segment prior to the start of the game and another at halftime, as part of the game's live broadcast on YouTube via The Lacrosse Network. Fans are encouraged to submit questions for Merrill through social media outlets such as Google+, Facebook, Twitter (using the #AskBrodie hashtag), and YouTube.
NLL Commissioner George Daniel hosted a live Hangout on YouTube on Wednesday, Feb. 20, which marked the first NLL event on Google+.
Google+ is a social networking add-on allowing users to interact with one another on Google. "Hangouts" are places used to facilitate group video chat with up to 10 participants. Visit the NLL's page on Google+ here.
Following Merrill's Google+ chat, he will join the team in Buffalo when they take on the Bandits Friday, March 1 at the First Niagara Center. The Wings return home to Wells Fargo Center next week against the Washington Stealth on Saturday, March 9 at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the Wings game against Washington on March 9 and all Wings 2013 home games are available by phone at 215-389-WING or online at www.WingsLAX.com.
