PHILADELPHIA - For the third time this season the Philadelphia Soul (5-1) scored over 80 points in a game, breaking the all-time team record for points scored in the first half (48) and defeating the Tampa Bay Storm (3-3), 83-48, in front of 9,371 fans at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night.
Philadelphia's QB Dan Raudabaugh finished by connecting on 16-of-21 passes for 270 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions. Tiger Jones had six receptions for 123 yards and four touchdowns, while Emery Sammons had two touchdowns, rushing for four yards and receiving for 86 yards. Derrick Ross added seven runs for a gain or 20 yards and two touchdowns. Jeff Hughley had three kickoff returns for 38 yards and three receptions for 59 yards and three touchdowns.
The Soul will face the Orlando Predators next Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet and can be heard on 950 ESPN.
