Philadelphia Soul News Release

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Soul signed veteran NFL kicker Tim Seder, the team announced today.

The announcement comes two days after the team released kicker Derek Schorejs. Seder, along with five other kickers, participated in a private workout that same afternoon at the NovaCare Complex.

Seder (5-9, 185), who is set to make his AFL debut this weekend against the Tampa Bay Storm, kicked for the Dallas Cowboys from 2000-2001.

A solid addition to the Soul's kicking game, Seder was perfect in his extra point attempts during his NFL career (50-of-50), with a 71% field goal percentage, and a long of 48 yards.

Seder also played with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2002 season.

The Soul host the Tampa Bay Storm this Sunday, March 20. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports (NBC-10 WCAU - Philadelphia). The game can also be heard on Philadelphia's News Talk 990 AM WNTP and via the web at www.philadelphiasoul.com.
