- GREG HOPKINS MODELS IN NEW YORK TIMES STYLE MAGAZINE: Los Angeles Avengers WR/LB Greg Hopkins modeled a T-shirt ($165), jeans ($185), belt ($155) and wristband ($95) from fashion designer John Varvatos in the most recent New York Times Style Magazine. The title of the article was "Big Guns: The Versatile AFL Ace Greg Hopkins Shares His Down-Home Workout Secrets."

Hopkins has previous modeling experience, but says it's nothing more than a hobby. His true passion and plan for after football is to work on his family 's farm. The article on Hopkins wrote, "...off-seasons he works at his family cattle farm in southwest Pennsylvania. ‘Bailing hay,' Hopkins says, ‘that's a good workout.'"

- COMMISSIONER BAKER SPEAKS TO IMPACTFUL FANTASY SPORTS GROUP: Commissioner David Baker spoke to more than 200 members of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association at their semi-annual conference at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas this past week. Baker, who was an invited guest speaker, educated the group – consisting of fantasy sports industry leaders -- about the AFL's booming fantasy business, which will have more than 50,000 players this year.

- FOX SPORTS NET PROVIDING ADDITIONAL AFL ACTION: AFL games have been so popular that Fox Sports Net (FSN) has picked up games to broadcast to FSN Regionals in markets without an AFL team, such as FSN Pittsburgh and FSN North. Additionally, FSN Regionals that have AFL teams have also begun showing games of teams outside of their territory. Over the course of the remainder of the season, nine FSN Regionals will pick up at least an additional 60 games of teams outside of their markets. Even more games and FSN Regionals may be added before the season ends.
