
Periard in for Tomorrow's Game

(3/11/03) Defenseman Michel Periard has returned to the Laredo Bucks after his third stint with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. Periard has posted three goals, five assists in ten games with San Antonio. Periard, a finalist for the Central Hockey League's Most Outstanding Defenseman Award, will be back in the Bucks' lineup for tomorrow night's regular-season home finale against Fort Worth at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
In 48 games with the Bucks, Periard has 17 goals and 35 assists for a total of 52 points, fourth on the Bucks team and fifth among CHL defenseman. Periard is second only to Amarillo's Brandon Carper in goals scored by a defenseman. Periard also scored a goal in the Southern Conference's 10-6 win over the Northern Conference in the CHL All-Star Game in Oklahoma City on January 23. The City of Laredo, the Bucks and the Laredo Entertainment Center will host the CHL All-Star Game in the 2004-2005 season. The CHL will announce the winner of the Most Outstanding Defenseman Award tomorrow.
Periard and the Bucks are aiming for the team's 40th win of the season tomorrow night against Fort Worth. Game time is 7:30pm.
