On Friday, October 16, the PEI Rocket showed their support for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation at the Charlottetown Civic Centre with their "Paint the Rink Pink" event. All Rocket players wore specially-designed pink uniforms in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fans were able to purchase raffle tickets on these one-of-a-kind, autographed, game-worn jerseys. Proceeds from the Jersey Raffle, as well as $5.00 per ticket sold for the game, were donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure Charlottetown.
The PEI Rocket are thrilled to be able to support such a worthwhile cause. "As part of our commitment to the community, the PEI Rocket is proud to support community activities such as this one," said Kent Hudson, General Manager, Business Operations with the PEI Rocket. "We continue to make every effort to ensure that we support our community in any way we can", added the GM.
Fans are reminded that the Rocket return to action tomorrow night (Wednesday) when they take on the hottest team in the QMJHL and the 2nd ranked team in the country, when they host the Saint John Sea Dogs at 7:00 PM. The Sea Dogs have 17 straight wins and their last loss was to the Rocket by a score of 4-0 at the Charlottetown Civic Centre. The Rocket have a 5 game winning streak of their own and all evidence points to a very entertaining game tomorrow night.
Season Ticket Holders are also reminded that tomorrow night is a ticket redemption night - Bring in your unused tickets and redeem them at the box office for game. This is a great way to make use of those missed games. You may redeem them yourself or hand them out to be redeemed. Feel free to get ahead of the game -the box office is open until 4:30 PM today and from 11:30 AM through game time tomorrow night!
See you at the rink!
