P.E.I. Rocket News Release
The PEI Rocket and Irving Oil have teamed up to give tickets to various charities and community organizations throughout the 2010-2011 season. A row of ten (10) seats in the Charlottetown Civic Centre have been designated as the Irving Rocket Row for Charity. Each game, these seats will be available to charities and community groups to use as they wish.
"This is a great program for our community", said GM Kent Hudson. "To be able to work with Irving Oil on this program is fantastic and will be great for our organization as part of our community outreach program".
Charities and Community Groups can apply on the Rocket website for their chance to access these tickets for various games throughout the year. There will be a form available for groups to explain why they would like to access the tickets and what they will be used for.
Organizations can use them to reward people within their organization, or they can use them to raise funds, or whatever they choose. As long as the details are outlined in the application, we will be able to judge each group's request on its own merits.
Kevin Bouchey of Irving Oil also added, "the Rocket have been great corporate citizens and we are proud to be involved in this very worthwhile program. The team is an important part of our community and we are happy to support them".
It is hoped that this type of program will create interest from other organizations that are interested in doing the same thing.
