Peanuts and Juice Suspended

August 11, 2007 - South Coast League (SCL)
South Georgia Peanuts News Release

The South Georgia Peanuts, presented by Security Bank, were unable to get Saturday night's game in due to rain. The game started and stopped twice but the constant rainfall and wet field would not allow the Peanuts and Juice to get through the third inning. The game will be resumed when Bradenton returns to town for the final series of the regular season.

The game will be resumed as part of a double-header when the Juice return to Albany in August. The teams will play two games on Tuesday August 28. The first contest will be the continuation of this game and nine innings will be played. The second game will be seven innings.

South Georgia now has an off day on Sunday. On Monday, the Peanuts welcome the Aiken Foxhounds to Albany for a three-game series. First pitch for all three games is set for 7:10.
